The two verbal sections consist of a total of 40 questions fall into 2 basic types:
Here is how a 20 question verbal section generally breaks down:
1.Discrete short-answer questions(10 questions)
2.Critical Reading Questions.(10 questions including logical reasoning questions)
Discrete short-answer questions are taking less time to answer than critical reading questions.
DISCRETE SHORT-ANSWER QUESTIONS-
1.SENTENCE EQUIVALENCE QUESTIONS.
2.TEXT COMPLETION QUESTIONS.
CRITICAL READING QUESTIONS-
1.READING COMPREHENSION QUESTIONS.
Out of total 40 questions 50% of the questions are Critical Reading Questions (that means reading comprehension questions) and remaining Discrete Short-answer Questions.So you need to focus more on Reading Comprehension Questions to get good score in GRE verbal section.
For Answering Discrete Short Answer Questions you need to improve your vocabulary.If you are having very good vocabulary then it will boost your score in verbal section.

1.Essential words for the GRE(Barron's GRE).
2.Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis.

ReplyDeleteQuite informative reasoning logics. More and more MBE Practice Questions were practiced by my roommate before her law entrance exam last year. She was quite dedicated and regular for the law classes and tests conducted by them every now and then. Performance sheets gained upward trend in few days. And now studying law in reputed college with scholarship.
